New plant in Vietnam Aiming to strengthen the supply chain
"SUNTEC VN," Suntec's overseas base, began operations in September 2023. We established the company over a period of seven years in the hope of providing a place where people, who have spent five to six years as technical trainees at our head office in Japan, could work actively when they return to Vietnam.
We will deepen cooperation between Japan and Vietnam to duplicate the supply chain of core parts of the industry, which our headquarters is responsible for, in order to stabilize QCD.
From May to July 2024, we will be making a full-scale capital investment to achieve capacity expansion.
Active acceptance and full support for technical intern trainees
Suntec Co., Ltd. began accepting overseas technical interns in 2017 and has accepted a total of over 15 Vietnamese trainees. We have a separate dormitory off the company's premises and provide each employee with a completely private room. Some of our trainees have gone on to work for our overseas subsidiaries after completing their training.
Endowment lectures are held at Tsuruoka Technical High School, led by alumni of the school.
As part of our contribution to the local community, Suntec holds endowment lectures at Tsuruoka Technical High School. Alumni of the school serve as instructors and teach students the joys of machining. During the lecture, students learn how to operate the machining center and create programs, and during the practical training, they can actually experience processing parts. We provide opportunities for students to experience the entire process from the drawing board to the finished product, and to experience the appeal of manufacturing. We also answer the students' questions in detail and contribute to the development of future engineers.
Our initiatives to address the SDGs, which contribute to the sustainability of society
Support for local children's cafeterias
In Tsuruoka City, there is an organization whose main purpose is to support learning while also providing support for meals. Suntec is pleased to make a donation to support the activities of these organizations
In today's world where diverse learning and family structures are the norm, we will strive to contribute to providing equal opportunities for all people in our communities.
Support for nurturing the next generation
Suntec enhances education for Vietnamese trainees.
We established internal training facility called as 'Dojo', in which Veterans execute technical training one on one.
Furthermore, we dedicate our efforts to local contribution activity through such technical training know-how.
As part of that, we have started helping technical exercise class as donation at local technical high school.
By providing opportunities to join on-site work like actual business work, we are contributing cultivating next younger generation.
